This notice describes how Calliopa handles your data, on this site and when you use the Calliopa CLI.

The short version
Calliopa has no accounts and no sign-in for visitors. It runs no advertising, no analytics, sells no data, embeds no trackers from other companies, and builds no profile of you. It stores nothing about you.
What Calliopa stores
As you read this site, nothing about you is written down: no account, no session, no identifier, no count of your visits.
When the CLI asks the library for scenes and shots, your network address is held in the server's memory for one minute, to limit how many requests one address can make, and then forgotten. It is never written down. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: keeping the service available to everyone.
If you hold a licence, it carries the name it was issued to, what it entitles you to, and when it expires. The CLI sends it with each request to the library, and the server checks it and keeps nothing of it. If a licence is revoked, the server keeps that licence's key, a random code, so it can refuse it. The licence itself is kept by you and, as the record of its issue, by Frank Zickert. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: providing what you licensed.
When the CLI checks for a newer version, it asks this site for the list of releases. Nothing about that request is kept.
Cookies and similar storage
Calliopa sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage.
Who else receives data
Each of these processes data on Calliopa's behalf under a processing agreement, or as an independent controller where the law makes them one.
- Contabo — Server hosting. Receives: Everything this site stores, and every request a visitor's browser or the CLI makes, including its address. Why: Running the site. Where: The European Union.
- Bunny Stream — Video hosting. Receives: A viewer's address, and which film they watched. Why: Serving an example film, once a visitor presses play. Where: Frankfurt, Singapore, New York and Los Angeles, and the delivery edge nearest a viewer.
- GitHub — Distribution of the CLI. Receives: The address of whoever installs or updates the CLI, and which release they download. Why: Delivering the CLI's files, which the installer downloads from GitHub Releases. Where: The United States.
That is the complete list. This site's database and file storage run on the server above and are not separate recipients.
Bunny Stream is the only one your browser contacts while you read, and only when you press play on a film. Everything else a page loads — the text, the pictures, and the still image standing in for a film before you play it — comes from Calliopa itself.
GitHub is contacted when you install or update the CLI, because the installer downloads the CLI's files from GitHub Releases. This site fetches the installer and the list of releases from GitHub itself, sending nothing about you.
Where data is processed
Where each recipient processes your data is listed against it above. Where that is outside the European Union, the transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Server logs
The site keeps no log of the requests it serves. The application records only its own operation — starting, its health checks, and errors — without any visitor's address.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to mail@calliopa.com. You may also complain to a supervisory authority.
